Voluntary Ice Cream Recall

Alta-Dena Dairy is recalling mislabeled containers of Baskin-Robbins brand ice cream. The label on the containers do not list eggs as an ingredient. Some people with allergies to eggs could become seriously ill if they eat the ice cream. Alta-Dena officials say so far no illness or allergic reactions have been reported.

The ice cream is packaged in a two-piece quart container with two different labels. The lid identifies it as "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream," while the container identifies the product as "OREO Cookies 'n Cream Ice Cream."

The recalled products have a July 29th, 2005 expiration date. Anyone who bought the products at Baskin-Robbins stores in California, Arizona, Alaska, Nevada and Utah should return them for a full refund or exchange.
